California, There I Went pt. 2
I went to California, hearing that everything's warmer there. Also, I'm a non-conformer.

It was a very nice relaxing trip and I ate my fill of delicious Tommy's chili burgers and chili fries. I even bought new shoes at an outlet mall. These are some pretty nice shoes, too. I can go to work in these shoes without worrying if they look nice enough. Of course, I didn't worry before with my more casual shoes either. Of course, also, I don't have a job. I had planned a week vacation and they decided to let me go that friday before the vacation would start. But they loved me there. They only let me go because of budget problems. I was the best typesetter you have ever seen. I mastered Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Whatever-It-Was. Oh yeah. Adobe Illustrator. But it's all over now. Time to move on.

From California, I picked up a bunch of old records that used to belong to my mom and dad and so now I guess I'll start a record collection. From my mom, a lot of R&B. Al Green, Diana Ross, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bobby Vinton??, etc. And country from my dad. Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Straight, etc. and some others. There is even Santa Esmeralda! The song "Don't let me be misunderstood" is a lot longer than I had previously believed. So, now I'm a guy with a record collection and will start explaining to everyone why they sound a million times better than CDs, whether you want to hear it or not.

I'm pretty bored.

I wish I went to California! Encounter anything rad in your travels? The most exciting places I've visited lately were hick nowhere towns in Vermont and Albany, NY. Which is probably the worst place in the United States besides Troy, NY. I saw billboards warning about the dangers of crystal meth and some cows. (Don't go there!! Not recommended!! I'm surprised we didn't get carjacked while sitting in traffic!)

Hey now that you have a record collection you can be one of those assholes who is all, I bought this super duper rare gem proto-punk whatever fancy bullshit for $50! And the radio station copy for $25! What a bargain! For an inflated sense of self-worth!

I am totally going to be that asshole!! The record player I bought can transfer the vinyl to the computer. Is that acceptable, do you think? In the vinyl asshole world?

I went to the Disney Concert Hall. I guess that was rad. Not very extreme or anything. I didn't go skateboarding on the building. Other than that, just Tommy's. Tommy's is delicious. I went to a cool bar, too and had my first shot of alcohol and had a good time until everyone else got really drunk and annoying and I had to be the designated driver and then someone puked out the window all over the side of the other persons car.

Maybe! What kind is it? I totally want something like that. The purists might not be having that though. Like, mp3s are for poseurs, portable record players are where it's at!

Pretty much all my best and worst nights ever involve copious amounts of alcohol or other people. Or both. Typicallll. Skateboarding might make things more fun and result in more stupid injuries. I've never projectile vomited on someone's car though. Extreme!!

The kind with a usb cable. And the program Audacity to remove hiss and pops. The audio cables are way too short though and are not detachable. So I'd have to buy an extension instead of just a longer cable. That's retarded. Fucking suits. They just don't understand the audiophile community and our needs. Fucking RETARDS.

I have never imbibed copious amounts of alcohol. I am too afraid I will be as annoying as everyone else is when they are drunk. I also haven't vomited in a long time. And I can't skateboard! Lame! /m\
